Learn how to saw pierce your own metal design at this mindful workshop in West End and return home with something beautiful, made entirely by you!
This workshop provides everything needed to design and saw your own piece of metal jewellery to take home at the end of the workshop. 
You can decide what you want to make in this workshop, with materials and equipment to make something unique and special to you.  You can choose between a pair of earrings, a pendant, a keyring, wall-hanging or a brooch.
You'll be shown step-by-step the process of creating a completed pair of earrings. The same process can be adapted to make other metal objects.
Ideally, participants have completed the Introduction to Silversmithing workshop before attending this one but it is not necessary.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
                                                          1. Copper, brass and aluminium sheet metal, so that you can saw your own design into two pieces of metal.
                                                          2. Ethically sourced Sterling Silver to make your piece.
                                                          3. A small selection of up-cycled beads will be provided to enhance your metal jewellery.
                                                          4. Snacks.
                                                          5. Gift bag to take home your unique piece of jewellery or art.
*Additional silver and findings can be purchased to make more pieces if needed.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE
                         Step 1: We start the workshop with a grounding session, relaxing our bodies and mind to be present n the workshop.
                         Step 2: Participants will be shown how to design and use the jeweller's saw to cut their own design out of the metal.
                         Step 3: Inspirational photos are provided with metal and findings for you to select from and decide what you will be making.
                         Step 4: As you progress through your piece, group instructions will be given at each stage and individual help along the way.
                         Step 5: Photos of your own unique piece of jewellery and art.

As you learn how to make jewellery, enjoy tea or coffee*, snacks and conversation with your fellow students. This silversmithing workshop is great for romantic date ideas or small and intimate get-togethers with friends. Everyone will be amazed at what they can create in just a few short hours! We keep our workshop numbers small to ensure one on one assistance and to maintain a relaxed vibe with the intention of a mindful workshop.
